IHRSA's Club Business International Magazine Profiles Curves President Mike Raymond



Mike Raymond, the new president of Curves International, Inc., has the job of keeping more than 4 million women happy.


By Jon Feld -- Mike Raymond, 55, graduated from Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1973, and received his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, in Evanston, Illinois, in 1975. Between 1975 and 2001, Raymond built an impressive marketing and advertising resume, working for such major companies as Leo Burnett Advertising, Adolph Coors Co., and Domino's Pizza, before ending up at Arthur Andersen. Then, he explains, 'Enron hit.' In May 2002, shortly after the collapse of Andersen, Enron's principal accounting firm, Raymond was hired as the director of marketing for Curves International, Inc. He was promoted to the position of senior vice president two years later and, last November, was named president.
