Curves Partners with Quebec's 5/30 Health & Wellness Challenge

Curves is partnering with ACTI-MENU, the Prevention Division of the Montreal Heart Institute and the Canadian Cancer Society, for the sixth annual 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge. The initiative aims to encourage Quebeckers to commit to achieving or maintaining important health-related goals, including getting active for at least 30 minutes a day a minimum of five times a week.

Each Tuesday from March 2 through April 6, participating Curves locations will open their doors so that every woman who has registered for the Challenge can work out for free. The Curves program provides a complete strength training, cardio, and stretching workout in just 30 minutes, making it an ideal choice for women who want to achieve their goal of 30 minutes of daily activity.

Participants who want to make exercise a priority in their lives beyond the Challenge can also take advantage of a deep discount off the enrollment fee when they join Curves in March and April.

“Curves has always been about prevention and wellness,” said Curves co-founder Diane Heavin. “We know that being overweight or obese significantly increases your risk for many chronic diseases. Curves can help you do the three most significant things you can do to decrease your risk: eat right, exercise regularly, and maintain a healthy weight."

"Free Tuesdays at Curves is a great way to come in and see what we’re all about. We encourage every woman who has made up her mind to take charge of her health to come in and check us out.”
